History was made in Oxford, UK on May 1, 2024 during the traditional 500-year-old May Morning celebrations as Sarah became the first female composer to have her piece selected for the morning’s service. The Choir of Magdalen College, Oxford performed her bright and uplifting How can I keep from singing? at 6am from the top of the Magdalen Tower.
From Sarah about the event:
It’s hard to describe the feeling of being the first woman composer to have her music performed at this 500-year-old event. The first woman ever.
I feel surrounded and I feel thankful
