Alice
Alice is a quirky, light-hearted celebration of the Alice books by Lewis Carroll. The singers’ tale of an encounter with the White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat, and the Hatter is underpinned by a lively and characterful piano part. It is spirited, fun, and has great potential for dramatic performance.

dum diddley die die die….
Sister, sister, you’ll never guess what I’ve seen:
I’ve seen a white rabbit talking to me.
Sister, sister, you’ll never guess what I’ve seen:
I’ve seen a pack of cards painting a tree.‘Oh, my ears and whiskers!’
I saw a rabbit carrying a pocket watch.
‘Oh, how late it’s getting!’
Followed the rabbit into Wonderland!I follow the rabbit down a hole so deep.
Run, little rabbit, run!
How curious is this new place I see!
My adventure here has just begun.A grinning cat directs me where to go,
He fades but leaves his smile behind.
Yes, I have seen a cat without a grin,
but a grin without a cat— I’ve never seen that.
So I assume they’re all mad in here.A hatter and a hare sit down to tea,
a dormouse sleeps nearby.
I sit and then the hatter starts to sing:
‘Twinkle, twinkle, little bat! How I wonder what you’re at…’
Now I am certain they’re mad in here.A queen with a vile temper plays croquet.
‘Off with her head!’, she shouts.
I find that I have grown so very tall.
Now I fear there’s no way out.
For it’s perfectly clear, we’re all mad in here.dum diddley die die die….
