This arrangement of “The Huron Carol”, renamed Iesous ahatonnia’ to reflect its origins, sets new texts by Wendat poet Andrée Levesque Sioui and invites us to learn from the past while working to shape a better future. It may be sung in English and Wendat or French and Wendat. A foreward by ethnomusicologist Dr. Jeanette Gallant is included in the score and presents the carol’s history.
